Privacy Policy

1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Fixlancer Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with Leadlance. It covers two distinct categories of data, treated differently throughout this policy: your own account data as a Leadlance user, and third-party business contact data that our search results surface, which is sourced from a combination of our own database and public professional sources.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
- Name, email address, company name, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text)
- Billing information, processed by our third-party payment provider (we do not store full card numbers ourselves)
- API keys and usage activity, including searches run, contacts revealed, and exports made
Technical information
- IP address, resolved to a coarse geographic location (city/region/country) for security and demographic purposes. We do not retain the raw IP address longer than necessary to perform this resolution
- Browser and device information, and general usage/interaction data on the platform
Third-party contact data
Search results returned by Leadlance reflect publicly available or professionally sourced business information, such as name, job title, company, and, where revealed, email address or phone number. We do not independently verify how this information originally became public. Where no stored, verified email address is available for a contact, we may algorithmically infer a likely address from common email-formatting conventions for that contact's company domain; such an inferred address is marked as a best-estimate in how it is generated, not a confirmed one.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Where data protection law requires a stated legal basis (such as under the GDPR), we process your account data under the following bases:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Providing the service you signed up for | Performance of a contract |
| Billing and fraud prevention | Legal obligation / legitimate interest |
| Product improvement and analytics | Legitimate interest |
| Marketing communications | Consent (withdrawable at any time) |
4. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the platform
- To process transactions and send related account and billing notices
- To send technical updates, security alerts, and support messages
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations, including responding to lawful requests from authorities
5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We share information only where necessary to operate the service, including with:
- Payment processors, to complete transactions
- Infrastructure and hosting providers, to run the platform
- Email delivery providers, to send account and, where you've consented, marketing communications
- Your own CRM provider, only where you actively choose to connect one
- Law enforcement or regulators, only where legally required to do so
Each of these providers is contractually restricted to using your data only for the purpose we've engaged them for.
6. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations.
- Exported/downloaded search result files are retained for a limited period before automatic deletion. Check the export screen for the current retention window at the time of export.
- Transaction and billing records are retained as required by applicable tax and accounting law.
- You may request earlier deletion of your account data under Section 10, subject to the exceptions described there.
7. International Transfers
Leadlance operates infrastructure that may process data in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection, including through contractual safeguards with our infrastructure and service providers.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data involved, including encryption of data in transit, hashed password storage, and access controls restricting who within our organization can view account or billing data. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies required for authentication and core functionality (such as keeping you signed in), and may use analytics cookies to understand product usage in aggregate. Essential cookies cannot be disabled without affecting core functionality; where analytics or marketing cookies are used, you will be given the option to accept or decline them.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal account data:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure: request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations described in Section 6
- Portability: request your data in a structured, commonly-used format
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest, including for marketing
- Restriction: request that we limit processing while a dispute about accuracy or lawfulness is resolved
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@leadlance.io. We aim to respond within 30 days, or sooner where required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
See our separate Data Protection Policy for how these rights apply specifically to third-party contact data surfaced by the platform, which is handled differently from your own account data.
11. Children's Privacy
Leadlance is a business tool not directed at, and not intended for use by, individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
12. Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data that poses a genuine risk to your rights, we will notify affected users and, where legally required, the relevant supervisory authority, without undue delay after becoming aware of the breach.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date, and, where the change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice such as email or an in-app notification.
